Mudasiru Salifu will be available for our Premier League clash with Bechem United after being forced off with an injury against Dreams FC.
The midfielder scored our first goal of the season as he latched onto Isaac Oppong’s pass to bend the ball through the Dreams FC goalkeeper’s legs with his outside foot.
The 86th-minute goal which was his first in Kotoko shirt cancelled the hosts’ lead and set us up on a 3-1 comeback win. Our No 3 was carried off the pitch after his equaliser, and the reason for that decision has been explained while his availability for Sunday’s homecoming clash at Baba Yara Stadium was also confirmed.
“Mudasiru scratched his foot on the ground while scoring his goal and so he felt some pains in his foot”, explained Team Physiotherapist Samuel Ankomah. “So we needed to take him off. But he has since been treated and would be available for the Bechem game.”
