Giving the breakdown of the deal at the launch held in Kumasi this afternoon, Head of Business for Betika, Ms Michelle Kwame said, ‘Asante Kotoko will receive GHs 630,000 every year in cash and in-kind.’
“They will also receive footballs, nets and other sporting equipment. Betika seeks to improve on the team’s performance in the Premier League and help scout for talents from the grassroots across the country.”
“We aim to invest in the youth by nurturing talent through sports, arts and culture,” she continued.
Asante Kotoko and Betika announced the deal on November 18, 2021, and Michelle Kwame has so far been thrilled by the response received from the Porcupine family.
“It has been a month since we signed with the Asante Kotoko family under this partnership. We have been overwhelmed by the response of the Porcupines family.”
“We thank you for accepting us and we are looking forward to more engagement with the players and the fans.”
“We have come around to project the image of the club and to make the fans happy. At Betika, the success of Asante Kotoko is our success and we are certainly looking forward to the opportunities ahead of us with this partnership.”
Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah was grateful to Betika for the partnership which he said would, among others, ease the club’s financial burden.
“The Porcupines believe that this partnership will go a long way towards not only easing the club’s financial obligation but also increasing the league’s monetary incentive.”
Nana Yaw Amponsah urged the club’s massive followers to bet with Betika and also refrain from acts that would dent the corporate image of the club and its partners.
