Ahead of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier league second round, League leaders Asante Kotoko defeated resilient lower-tier side Kharis Sports Academy at the Adako Jachie training complex on Wednesday afternoon in a preparation match.

Evans Adomako’s second-half goal was enough for the Porcupine Warriors to record a 1-0 victory over the academy boys.

Coach Prosper Ogum gave more minutes to fringe players in an attempt to get their match fitness up to speed before the second round starts this weekend.

Kotoko will begin the second half of the season when they host Dreams football club at the Babayara sports stadium on Sunday at 3 pm.

Below is the first eleven who started the game

Kwame Baah🧤, Christopher Nettey, Charles Owusu, Maxwell Agyemang, Andrews Appau, Richard Boadu, Justice Blay, Isaac Oppong, Evans Adomako, Solomon Sarfo Taylor, Samuel Boateng
