Mbella Etouga Franck bagged a brace to hand Asante Kotoko vital three points in a difficult afternoon at the Babayara sports stadium.

It was the perfect way for us to mark our first game in the second round of the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier league with the only stains on the afternoon coming in the form of a head injury to Charles Owusu.

The first half was difficult for us however the introduction of Mudasiru Salifu saw us control the game better.

Richmond Lamptey played Mbella through in the 74th minute but was brought down in the box by Dreams FC’s goalkeeper Augustine Koomson

Mbella stepped up and placed the ball to the left top corner to put us up 1-0.

Our ruthless striker got his second goal eight minutes later following a brilliant individual effort, the Cameroonian picked a loose ball around the 18-yard box, he beat his marker, fired a shot with his left foot which hit the post, the determined striker didn’t relent and connected the rebound to the roof of the net to take his goal tally to 13 goals.

After a difficult first half, Our defense was in good form, though, and limited them to very few clear openings, We emerged for the second half with a new lease of life.

The results mean we have accumulated forty points and Medeam SC beaten Bechem United means we’ve extended our lead to ten points
