The Porcupine Warriors tapped into their values and earned a point at Babayara on Thursday after suffering a serious setback with Skipper Abdul Ganiyu’s red card
It may not be the prettiest football in the world, but Prosper Ogum has given Kotoko a style that places them ahead of the rest of the clubs in the league.
We hosted Stubborn Karela at the Babayara sports stadium with full of confidence, started well and could’ve finished the game off in the first 20 minutes but for a poor finishing from our boys
After dominating the early proceedings, Kevin Andoh a striker for the visitors was played through on goal, however, our captain Abdul Ganiyu brought him down and got his marching orders in the 27th minute
Nine minutes later, Andoh gave the visitors the lead after meeting a cross from a short corner to beat Kwame Baah who arrived late for the ball.
The goal triggered our players as we took control of the game completely, dictated the pace till we got our deserving equalizer before the break from no other than Franck Mbella Etouga who made no mistake by placing the ball into the roof of the net following Imoro Ibrahim’s brilliant low cross in the 18-yard box
Our boys approach the game from where the left of in the second half, created few half chances but couldn’t take them
It was a difficult evening and disappointing results overall but our gallant boys showed, bravery, character, and the right attitude after going down by a man and a goal to salvage something from the game
Coach Ogum took the opportunity in the post match interview to show praise to his boys and assured the fans of a win against King Faisal on Sunday afternoon.
