Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko will honor their matchday 28 fixture against underfire AshantiGold SC in what is likely to be a title-winning midweek fixture at Obuasi on Thursday afternoon. The Obuasi-based club has been demoted to the third-tier after they were found guilty of match-fixing in their matchday 34 fixture against Inter Allies football club.

Since their punishment will take effect at the beginning of next season, the Ghana FA has permitted them to honor their remaining matches

With just a point from our remaining games to win their 26th league title, The Porcupine Warriors will hope to add more misery to Ashgold by beating them to wrap up the trophy.

We’ve been very good on the road and Prosper Ogum and his charges will hope to continue like that with a good performance

Though they’ve appealed the verdict in an attempt to overturn their ruling, AshantiGold haven’t lost a match since the ruling with the players setting their sight on the goal king, it is clear that’s their target, to get Yaw Annor to snatch the goal king from Franck Mbella Etouga, who leads Annor with just one goal, all eyes will be on the two strikers tomorrow

Our technical team are aware of this and will map up a system and tactics to neutralize their threats and exploit their weaknesses to punish them.
