Our budding goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has been named the Best Goalkeeper in the just ended WAFU B tournament.
Danlad Ibrahim stared as the Ghana U20 team, the Black Starlets, won the cup, coming from behind to beat Burkina Faso 2-1 in the final. He kept the posts in all four games played by Karim Zito's side at the tournament and recorded two clean sheets.
Our enterprising goalkeeper is one of three Ghanaian players to make the tournament's Best-XI alongside Precious Boah and Kobina Amoah. The teenage goalkeeper made his Asante Kotoko debut when we beat archrivals Hearts of Oak 5-4 on penalties in the 2019 Normalisation Cup.
He, before then, had had an enormous international career, guiding the national U17 side to a second spot at the 2017 U17 World Cup in India after clinching silver in the African championship.
