Physiotherapist, Samuel Ankomah, has given injury updates as we prepare to face Elmina Sharks in the Premier League at Len Clay Stadium on Sunday.
We draw the curtains down on the campaign, hoping to finish on a high against a club seeking to avoid relegation, and we have news from the treatment room.
EVANS ADOMAKO, ADOM FRIMPONG, EMMANUEL KEYEKEH
Evans Adomako took ill last week and as a result, missed our Premier League trip to Bechem United, Adom Frimpong made the squad but could also not play because of a groin problem, while Emmanuel Keyekeh was a second-half come-on deapite having a slight thigh issue.
Thankfully, the three players intensified their recoveries at Adako Jachie on Tuesday and Wednesday with high tempo runs and stretches and could be back in full training with the rest of the squad on Thursday.
Our goalkeeper missed our last two games due to a facial injury he suffered in the leadup to the FA Cup game against Asokwa Deportivo.
The wound, which was stitched, is now healing well. The goalkeeper returned to training on the sidelines of Adako Jachie with a light session on Saturday, continued with a higher intensity session on Tuesday and Wednesday and is likely to be back in full training on Thursday.
AUGUSTINE OKRAH, GODFRED ASIAMAH
The two wingers have taken ill and, as a result, have been given a week break by Head Coach, Mariano Barreto to have enough rest while receiving treatment.
The centre back suffered ankle injuries on both legs in our loss to Hearts of Oak and has since been exempted from on-the-pitch activities.
He is currently doing well and could return to training in the coming week.
